We arrived about 8.30 on a wet, miserable Sunday night, but were quite lucky to get a table - most locals had reserved. The service was fast, efficient and friendly, and our waitress spoke English and Spanish. We had tuna tartare with avocado, and seaweed salad, to start. Both portions were generous, perfectly seasoned, and arrived so quickly. The bottle of ribeiro we ordered was really fruity yet none of the wines exceeded 18€. We had mixed seafood and vegetable tempura, with the lightest, crispiest batter, and a beautiful sweet and sour thin dipping sauce. The scallop brochettes came over a clay bowl and cooked at our table, to the perfect consistency. We followed with stir fried rice with pork, which was just delicious- it's often too salty, but wasn't, and our waitress had asked how spicy we liked it and it was just right. All the portion sizes were perfect. As we'd enjoyed it so much, we ordered an extra dish, the stir fried veal, and this, too, was delicious. Absolutely everything was perfect, and we will come again when we're next in Madrid.
