I really wanted to love this place and came in with high expectations, so it genuinely hurts to leave this review. The food was decent, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was nice . But something felt off about my meal and I couldn’t put my finger on it until I compared my photo to other customers’ pictures online. That’s when it clicked: my burger was missing an entire second patty!! And looking more closely at my picture, it actually appears I was served two top buns instead of a proper burger build. This isn’t a minor detail. I paid full price, left a generous tip, and received an incomplete dish. Whether it was a kitchen error or something else, the result is the same: I paid for something I didn’t get, and nobody caught it before it hit my table. I’m not someone who writes bad reviews, so the fact that I’m taking the time to do this says a lot. I have photos to back this up and the difference is pretty obvious when you look at it. Disappointing experience overall. I hope management takes quality control more seriously because the potential is clearly there, it just didn’t show up on my plate. Any assistance on this matter would be kindly appreciated. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $60–70

Insanely overpriced for overrated food. This is somewhere you’d go if you’re a tourist or if all the other actual good restaurants in the city are fully booked. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else unless you like wasting your money on mid food. The only good thing here was the service. -the most disappointing/overpriced? The $36 yes $36 spicy rigatoni. This had to be the most bland and skimped spicy rigatoni I’ve had in my entire life. -$24 for Caesar salad is criminal. They top it with a single grilled filet of chicken.. and the croutons were stale. Smh do better. -the $22 “Wagyu” in a blanket has to be the biggest scam ever. Literally a Costco jumbo hotdog wrapped in puff pastry. -the $48 hanger steak.. it had zero flavor and was tough as leather. Yet again another waste of money. Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 4

Thank you for being so specific. This is the kind of feedback that is hard to read but important to hear. We are glad the service stood out positively and we will make sure the team knows that. On the food we hear you. At our price point every single dish needs to justify what is on the bill and it is clear that was not your experience. Bland rigatoni, stale croutons and a steak that did not deliver at $48 are all things that fall below the standard we hold ourselves to and we are taking this seriously. We appreciate you laying it out so honestly and we hope you will give us another chance to show you a very different meal.

This is my second time to Bar Angie and the food is always tasty, but the service has a lot to be desired. It seems like the waiters have too many tables. Both times we had do request a waiter to service us. Today, wait times to take our order and receive condiments took forever or never happened. We had to request the table to be bussed before the entrees and it still didn’t happen until the entrees came. I would like to see the service match the drink and food quality here. For the price point the service needs to significantly improve. UPDATE: I returned following Jessica’s invitation after my previous review, and I want to acknowledge the noticeable improvements in service. I also appreciate Bar Angie for taking the feedback seriously and working to make things right. Mert was attentive and engaged throughout our brunch experience. The timing between courses was significantly smoother, and the coordination between the waitstaff and bussers felt much more organized and efficient. As always, the food was impeccable. I’m already looking forward to coming back for my favorite dish, the Truffle Tagliatelle! Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $100+
