Felt rushed by the server. Was never offered refills on our drinks. And my wife who has celiacs disease was served flour tortillas even though the tacos she ordered said gluten free on the menu. We were told that after we asked and she already started eating them. Get it together. Food tasted good though for Rochester standards, average by anywhere else. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

This place rocks. Parking is what it is for down by the farmers market, but the paid lot across the street is free as long as you check in at the kiosk inside the restaurant. The food is phenomenal. Expect Tex Mex but also a little more traditional Mexican food wise. This is great for the timid as it isn't challenging food. The atmosphere is Mexico vacation bar vibes, but in a good way. Lighting is dim overall inside with table focused lighting. Service has always been fast, prompt, and casual. Bar wise they have a great tequila selection. If that isn't your speed, fear not the margaritas are on point and the beer selection ranges from simple beers like Tecate to IPAs. Granted the beer selection isn't their focus, but very serviceable. On the fence? Just go. Great place. As for the review saying it isn't "authentic Mexican food", there is no place they say that is the goal. Authentic Mexican food isn't what most Americans think. It is modern American Tex Mex and that is fine. Price per person: $20–30

Bitter Honey had an open reservation on Cinco de Mayo, which no other mexican restaurant had or offered that night (in fact, Silver Iguana laughed at me when I called them a few days prior to ask). Bitter Honey opened early for Cinco de Mayo and was PACKED all day due to the holiday. We got to our reservation early and the host did their best to seat us as soon as possible- which was great! Even though the place was incredible busy, the staff did an incredible job all around, and this was a late dinner res (8:30). They were friendly, helpful, attentive, and responsive on all levels. Their nachos just might be the BEST in all of Rochester, and their tacos & burritos are solid portions. Love this place! Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
