I cannot say enough good things about my experience visiting this restaurant! The food was amazing, but even beyond that, the staff and chef are so passionate about their service and product! I enjoyed an amazing caprese with a varietal mixture of local tomatoes and the freshest mozzarella I have ever tasted. Their menu is just a small sampling of their daily offerings. They had 6 pasta specials the day I visited and I ordered one of the specials which was absolutely delicious….tomatoes, ricotta, basil, and pepper. The fresh ingredients speak for themselves. A variety bruschettas are available and can be tailored to your dietary restrictions if necessary. I look forward to my next visit to Rome and it will definitely include this restaurant! This place came under new ownership on Monday, and we were lucky enough to stumble upon it while trying to escape the midday heat. Since it’s underground, the space was naturally cool and comfortable, but what really stood out was how warmly we were welcomed by the new owners. The atmosphere felt genuine, friendly, and personal. The staff and ownership were incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about everything they served. We started with a bottle of wine, personally chosen by the owner after we described what we liked, and it was absolutely delicious. We also bought some spicy olive oil, which they vacuum-sealed so we could safely bring it home. We loved the experience so much that we came back again today for a wine and cheese tasting, and honestly, it was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever had. We’re already planning to return again tomorrow or the next day to try their daily pasta. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and special. Their menu rotates based on the season and fresh produce, and it’s clear that the owners and staff truly prioritize quality, hospitality, and creating a memorable experience. This is not a place to rush in and out of. Stay awhile, savor every moment, and let them take care of you. Update: I ended up returning several more times after writing this, and somehow each visit made me love this place even more. I came back for another wine and cheese pairing, tried their daily pasta, a delicious zucchini pesto, and had the most dreamy truffle pasta that I would consider their signature dish. Every dish had me happily dancing in my seat. What makes this place so special is not just the food, though the food is unforgettable. It’s the warmth of the owner and staff, who made me feel less like a customer and more like part of the family. Every recommendation felt thoughtful and personal, from the wine to the cheese to the pasta. I’m now writing this from the airport, already sad that I don’t know when I’ll be back in Rome. But when I do return, Caciara e Spaccio Agricolo will be my first stop. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20
