My first experience at a Michelin star place and it set the standard. We were traveling from Iceland arrived too late for our original dinner reservation. They graciously moved it to the next day for lunch.  This place understands hospitality. The food the ambiance the staff - all made us and our teen boys feel at home.
A Must for Foodies Visiting Dublin! Wow!  What an exceptional meal!  Our visit to Chapter One was spectacular.  The service was phenomenal, down to the personable waitress and knowledgeable sommelier, and the food was simply outstanding.  We chose to do the four-course dinner, simply because in the past, we have found larger tasting menus too much food for us.  My husband and I both had the Japanese tapioca to start.  The earthiness of the mushrooms, paired with the creamy tapioca -- prepared risotto style was exceptional.  For our second course, I had the delicious mackerel and eel selection.  It had a sashimi influence -- however the fish was like butter and the sauces were flavorful, but yet subtle enough to not over power the fish.  My husband greatly enjoyed the artichoke selection.  For our main course, I chose the lamb and my husband had the duck.  Both were fantastic.  The duck is paired with a bacon and an apple - giving it sweet and salty notes.  The preparation of the lamb is so soft -- I've never had anything like it before.  It had the texture of a fillet of beef.  Dessert was also terrific -- with the taste of Ireland's Milk and Honey being the standout.  The wine selections paired perfectly with our meal, and the pace of the dinner both allowed us to leisurely enjoy our food without feeling like we were ever waiting.  I strongly recommend this exceptional establishment.
First time in Dublin. First time tried out Chapter one. We had four course dinner. I really like all the delicious beautifully presented plates and the service was great. My favorite was the dessert with raspberry and cream. My boyfriend ordered Irish coffee. I guess it's a must order item if you like coffee and whisky. What makes this so special is that they will make Irish coffee right in front of your table.
