I had the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich and the bacon hushpuppies. This was a very filling meal for about $24. Im not a fan of cole slaw and wish I had remembered to order the sandwich without but it was still extremely tasty. It was also very messy and unfortunately the staff did not provide any napkins or plastic ware in the bag. The bacon hushpuppies are literally amazing. They are the best hushpuppies I've ever eaten and had absolutely the best mix of flavor and cruch. Ill definitely return, next time to try the Nashville hot.

Hands down best meal I've had in 2026. I got the Nashville Hot with tater tots, my wife got the Nasheville Hot with hushpuppies, and we shared a side of Mac & cheese. I think about it way too often. The crew behind the counter were awesome, and the dude putting my food together was the man. If you're reading this dude; "sneaking a bit of cheesecake on the way home is completely legit." Update: Another meeting with friends there. Wanted to try a different place but was drawn to Iyla's again. I got my usual hot chicken sandwich with collard greens. It's still as good as the last time. Previous: Often go by west Morgan St Food Hall. I met a coworker there and I was overjoyed. It was not too crowded for the early evening on a Thursday. I chose Iyla's Southern Kitchen. I was excited with the menu choices. I got a Nashville hot chicken sandwich with collard greens and a lemonade. I was not disappointed. I chose the medium spiced. I like some heat that sometimes makes me sweat a little but not make my taste buds uncomfortable. The chicken was fried perfectly. The spice was hot like I wanted and not unbearable. The collard greens had that Southern seasoning enough to make my mouth water. The lemonade was very refreshing. Definitely a hit on my list.
