We've been to MacGregor's a few times for drinks and always had a great time, so we were looking forward to going for dinner. However, our experience was unfortunately quite disappointing. We both ordered the Sunday roast beef, which came in at £35 total (not including drinks). When the food arrived we were shocked at just how small the portions were. Each plate consisted of 2 slices of beef, 3 small potatoes, half a parsnip, a few slices of carrot (maybe 3 max), and a single Yorkshire pudding. The food itself was good without being particularly memorable, but after leaving we went into town and bought a portion of chips as we were still hungry. We'll likely give them another try as we do enjoy going for a drink and listening to the live music, but it has made me reconsider recommending to friends and family.
