So perhaps it’s me, but I have gone to Max‘s for so many years and the last time we went, this past week left a little to be desired in regards to the food. We all ordered steak and the way it was just thrown on a plate with a tiny side of a sauce, left a little to be desired. Don’t get me wrong the steaks were cooked perfectly however, the sides that we got have shrunk price is still high, but the quantity is less Not to mention, they only came over and gave us one roll of bread the entire time we were there Now again, I’ve been there so many times in the past years but this time I was not impressed to spend $300 plus on a meal that was good but not excellent at least not for that price tag get one roll And what seemed like a very little effort in the meal prep for that amount of money Service was great our Server was excellent, but dessert dismal that we got the chocolate cake and it was OK honestly it was bland. We all agreed We would be hard pressed to return and spend that kind of money on a steak dinner. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner

Corey our waiter at Max Chophouse was absolutely excellent! It quickly became apparent Corey is a trained professal waiter. Corey attended to our every need for our group of 10. Corey explained clearly the specials & gluten free options for 2 guests. My filet mignon+ spinach salad were prepared perfectly. We will recommend Max Chophouse because Corey gave us a great experience. Mj Mathew. Lived in Rochester from 1960 till 2007. Could not find a restaurant that I could take an out of town guest for a real dinner experience. SADD!
