Great service. Friendly staff. Fresh Croissants. I sat here for 2 hours and felt welcome. I will be back next time I am in Rome.

Interesting to see the negative reviews mentioning bad service and attitude. We went as a family of tourists, at 8.30 am on a Saturday. We were greeted with a smile and perfect English (which she absolutely doesn’t have to speak) and our breakfast came to our table in less than 2 minutes. It was delicious and warm. The location is perfect. I’d like to remind American friends a couple of things for when they review places in Europe. Firstly, the waiters here are paid a salary and this is one of the reasons why you don’t see the fake cheer and friendliness you’re accustomed to- the wait staff is there to serve you in a polite manner, but not there to be friendly to you. Secondly, they don’t have to speak English. The fact that they had poor English, or you didn’t understand their English is not a reason to give a place 1 star- even if it is a touristic city nobody has to speak English. It would be advisable to learn the numbers and a few basic words in the language of the country we’re visiting, and kindness goes a long way. Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
