You can count on Perla’s. Perla’s is consistent and authentic over pretentious. My son leaned in and said about our waiter, “you can tell he loves his job, right?”. Seafood is the best food, but if you don’t mess with it, they cook a delicious burger. If you don’t like a raw oyster, you may love a grilled one. Ceviche is insane. I feel guilty about it, but the octopus is a good time too. A light seafood pasta would be a perfect addition to the menu. Give us a little bread for goodness sake. Be sure to order The Last Word and Google one of its ingredients, Green Chartreuse. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50

Perla's was so delicious I visited a second time during my stay in Austin! The atmosphere I describe as 'yacht chic' as the unofficial dress code locals follow here is what you would see at a yacht club or boating on a beautiful day. The fresh seafood options and large outdoor patio also lend to this feel overall. I recommend exploring all the seafood options and ending with the Salted Butterscotch Pot de Crème. Recommended dishes: Oyster Bar, Raw Oysters Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid street parking
