I've been stopping into this place once and a while for over 15 years and this was the worst condition I've ever seen it, and I can't understand how it's rated over a 4. It's a hole in the wall that use to have great food, but it's been in a steady decline in that time. I got a chicken parm sub that was chopped chicken with some red sauce that was burnt and completely tasteless. My wife got a Philly steak with peppers, onions and Swiss cheese that was also tasteless. The bread was dry and smelled old, and hand cut fries where cooked in oil that God only know when it was changed last. The walls and the kitchen area looked like they had a layer of grease that hasn't been wiped down in years, and you stuck to the dining room floor as you walked. Although the manager and the cook appeared to be trying, neither of them was dressed like they should be in the kitchen preparing food. When you're in a market of 50 other good sub shops you have to stand out. Unfortunately, The Philly Stakeout stands out for all the wrong reasons. What a shame. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I’d give less than one star if I could. Foods not that great. Way over priced for what it is. Owner doesn’t appreciate his customers. Way better options in the area. I for sure won’t be back. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Came in on a snowy night, no one there. The kid working there seemed VERY unhappy to be there. For what we paid for the subs, the steak barely filled the bread. Very dry, cheese sauce was okay - and everything else just seemed soaked in grease. I dont think we will visit again. Not the same. Spend $50 for barely anything, with little flavor is not something I would yearn to come back to. Sorry. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
