Come here for a drink after a long walk around San Gregorio della Divina Pieta. Italian cuisine is recommended to try at this pizzeria. Here you will be offered nicely cooked spaghetti carbonara, lasagna and pesto pizza. Taste good tiramisu, parfait and cheesecakes. Delicious house wine, beer or cordial are what can make you come back to Rione XIV Bistrot. Order great coffee.

From the very second you ring the doorbell, you don't just feel like a customer - you feel like a deeply cherished friend being welcomed back home after a long journey. The sheer warmth, love, and hospitality radiating from this beautiful family-run bistro is apparent from the off. The husband-and-wife front of house team run the dining room with such genuine, radiant joy, alongside extraordinary precision and professionalism, while mum and dad pour their souls into cooking traditional masterpieces in the kitchen, with every dish elevated by outstanding, natural ingredients sourced locally. The beef carpaccio was remarkably fresh and sliced so beautifully that it literally cut like butter, followed by a superb Saltimbocca alla Romana executed to absolute perfection with deep, comforting flavours. The grilled octopus was a true standout - exceptionally tender and cooked with masterful precision. However, the absolute crown jewel of the night was the carbonara - it was the best I have ever tasted, boasting a flawless, velvety balance of rich ingredients. To complement the meal, their exceptionally well-priced wine list is carefully selected, showcasing local producers alongside mainstream Italian options. Finding this level of instinctive culinary expression, high-quality local ingredients, and heartfelt hospitality at such exceptionally priced rates is a true rarity in Rome, especially so close to the Vatican. This isn't just an exceptional dinner - it is an experience that captures the true, loving soul of Italy. We are staying in Rome for some time and will be back soon. In the meantime, huge thanks to the whole team for such a wonderful dining experience! Julian & Domenico. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a wonderful experience at Rione XIV Bistrot. It’s a relatively small but special restaurant—you even need to ring the bell at the entrance to be let in. Due to the limited space, you may be asked to wait outside briefly or be seated right away. The food was excellent, featuring classic Roman dishes prepared with great care and high-quality, fresh ingredients, complemented by a very good wine selection. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, with a welcoming feel that’s refreshingly non-touristy. The staff were super friendly and attentive throughout lunch, which really enhanced the overall experience. A great spot near the Vatican for a quality meal—highly recommended!
