Eating perfectly cooked spaghetti carbonara, lasagna and pesto pizza is a pleasant experience here. Taste good tiramisu, parfait and cheesecakes. The restaurant was a find in our trip! I would say it was far the best restaurant in our whole trip. The lasagna was far the best I ever had in my life and also the parmigiana (melanzane). We ordered the fresh truffle pasta fromt the special menu and this one I would say was super good, but strangely not so amazing as the last two. We also tried the brownie with ice cream that was delicious. The restaurant is very small, so you can expect some queue, so plan to go earlier if you want to avoid that. And fitting bigger groups is impossibile. But it is pretty charming and cozy inside. I would definitely come back again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The waitress took our orders while we stood line line to shorten our wait time once seated. The owner welcomed us and came over to talk to us at length. He gave us great suggestions for a outstanding gelateria. The food was very good, and the mixed salad was great. Be advised, however, that this restaurant is very small, so you may wait to get a table. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20

We had a wonderful experience at Rione XIV Bistrot. It’s a relatively small but special restaurant—you even need to ring the bell at the entrance to be let in. Due to the limited space, you may be asked to wait outside briefly or be seated right away. The food was excellent, featuring classic Roman dishes prepared with great care and high-quality, fresh ingredients, complemented by a very good wine selection. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, with a welcoming feel that’s refreshingly non-touristy. The staff were super friendly and attentive throughout lunch, which really enhanced the overall experience. A great spot near the Vatican for a quality meal—highly recommended!
