I'm not a line person. That said, I can understand why people are willing to line up for these fish and chips. We waited about an hour on a weekend evening and ordered the halibut and chips along with a cup of chowder. The fish was excellent - fresh and flaky - while the chowder was hearty. We did find the standard portions quite large so if you are not a huge fan of fries, I'd recommend ordering one fish and chips and adding an extra piece of fish and a side of coleslaw instead. There was also plenty of seating available so no need to worry about finding a spot. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A bit of a line to order, however it moves quite efficiently. The staff taking the order and prepping it are very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The food is absolutely AMAZING to say the least. Our party grabbed a few things to share and enjoyed it ALL. The fish is fresh, the fries and tartar sauce tasty. The chowder absolutely divinely scrumptious. Will definitely come again when back in Victoria. Thank you. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CAD 20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Kicked off my Victoria food tour at Red Fish Blue Fish—line was long but no surprise. Went with the fried cod and chowder. Portions were huge, fish was super fresh and flaky, fries nice and crispy. The chowder tasted nothing like the ones in Seattle, but also in a good way—very flavorful . Only wish the seating was better; those little makeshift stools were uncomfortable to sit on and eat. The harbor view, though? Absolutely worth it. PS: really wish they can do a combo with different fish options. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CAD 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
