Really excited to try ‘Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas’, service was great but unfortunately there were no ‘peas’/beans in the rice, the chicken did have a tasty barbecued flavour but was lacking any spice and authenticity. I’ve been lucky enough to eat Jerk chicken from a shack in Jamaica, and was hoping to have something delicious and flavourful but was a little disappointed. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Takeaway Price per person: £10–20

Hi Sarah,Thank you for visiting us at Barry Island Food Festival.We had quite a challenging weekend, battling 40mph winds, setting up and packing down multiple times after Saturday's cancellation and unfortunately in the chaos of Sunday morning, we left our kidney beans behind. As we cook everything fresh on site, we had to serve coconut rice instead. We're sorry if that wasn't communicated clearly to you.Regarding the jerk chicken, we're proud to say it's marinated in authentic Jamaican spices, prepared by our Jamaican chef, and cooked in a traditional jerk pan.We hope to see you again soon. The curry goat is the best we’ve ever tasted, unreal food, can’t go wrong. Whenever we’re in Cardiff Market we always run here, and are gutted if it’s shut ! Thank you so much for delicious food always. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Real Ting served evening food at our wedding and it was incredible! They made sure to set up whilst guests were busy elsewhere and we had so many comments about how delicious the food was.The portion sizes were huge too! We are so happy that they were willing to travel to Mid Wales for us. Thank you!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
