The issue was not your child screaming: it was you (not her) sitting on the step directly blocking the narrow entrance to the beer garden while other people tried to exit behind you. When I asked you to move you squared up and called me a "f**king idiot". It was then that I said you needed to leave, because you'd become aggressive and abusive. I then left the situation and went inside because I didn't want to get in argument.I appreciate your child was extremely upset about something and this must have been stressful for you. It was distressing for everyone present, as it had been going on for a long time. I admit me saying to you - in a level tone - that you didn't appear to be doing anything to comfort her as she screamed - was ill advised. But you can't just go saying I act "strangely around children" as that is clearly a defamatory and vindictive slur intended to imply something else to a casual reader. Be reasonable.I sincerely hope the rest of your day was better. As I said at the time, I didn't want an argument with you and I wish you well as you navigate such situations in future.
